Directing a team of wonderful 64 creatives, I am bringing to the screen the story of Liliana, a latina immigrant, who realizes her concept of American High Schools isn't what she has seen in film.

GROWING INDOORS
The emergence of Covid has affected our lives heavily. This short film examines how an artist would cope with the desperation of wanting to express herself, feel the connection of nature, feel movement, feel the connection with humans.
This film shows how desperately we need the imagination, the arts, the music and the human connection to keep growing, even if we must do it indoors this time.
One may think access to arts is an escape, but it is life, in itself; it is necessity in itself.

Miel y Limón
Miel y Limon, meaning in Spanish "Honey & Lemon”, is a short film made during quarantine that touches on the pressure a designer & filmmaker feels in trying to be the best artist she can become.
The perspective of her thinking changes once she actually stops to listen to the valuable words of her mother (not present physically, but very present in heart & mind).

This is my personal story on how even though I haven’t lived with my mother for half of my life (due to the crisis in my country, that forced me to move out quite young) she truly always finds a way to be present in my life, and to appear, in the most unlikely of places to remind me of my strength, and to once again, give me the instructions to the recipe of life: Miel y Limón.
Her words have been recorded from a real life phone call I had with her during stressful times of the quarantine in 2020.

This short film screened in Disney's headquarters in California.
My team and I were finalists of the Disney Imaginations competition, where we were one of the 20 artists chosen from 1500 applicants to fly to California to present our concept.
As team lead & writer, I used my skills in directing and experiential design to present this concept to Disney Executives. Our team is very grateful to the Girl Scout Troupe of Historic Georgia for participating in this short film.

The 99th day
I spent my summer in Spain, where one of the strictest lockdowns has been enforced since the pandemic started.
One day I wondered how are kids handling the lockdowns..
Does it make them more creative? more thoughtful?
This is a short documentary style film that focuses on the story of Nuria, a Spanish 10 year old, that discovered the lockdowns only sparked more curiosity for her, but it also
made her realize what truly matters and what she truly missed.
Everything changed for her on the 99th day.
